ERRORS FOUND IN TEACHER’S BOOK AND RELEVANT STUDENT BOOK:
Lesson 7, Exercise 3 (p. 60): Tenor Sax has a low written E that is not taught until Lesson 17.
Solution: Take bars 3 & 4 and also bars 7 & 8 up an octave.
Lesson 7, “Dance of the Jack O’ Lantern” (p. 62): Piano, entire left hand part is an octave too high.
Solution: Take entire left hand part down an octave.
Lesson 9, Exercise 3 (p. 74): Tenor Sax has high A above staff, a note not learned until Lesson 14.
Solution: Take the entire exercise down an octave.
Lesson 10, “New in this Lesson” (p. 78): Naturals, which were introduced only in Alto and Bari Sax books back in Lesson 8, now appear in all other instruments in the exercises of Lesson 10 but those student books don’t have a “New in this Lesson” citation for the natural symbol.
Solution (Teacher’s Book): Add the natural symbol in the “New in this Lesson” heading in Teacher’s Book, to read as follows: “More Accidentals (Sharps and Naturals)”
Solution (Student Books): In all student books except Alto and Bari Sax, the natural symbol should be added to the “New in this Lesson” heading.
Lesson 11, Exercise 2 (p. 86): Same as above, Tenor Sax has high A’s not learned until Lesson 14.
Solution: Take the entire exercise down an octave.

Lesson 17, Exercise 3 (p. 130): Clarinet has a not-yet-learned B-natural in upper divisi in bars 5 and 7. The upper written B is not learned until Lesson 21.
Solution: Remove the upper divisi from the entire exercise.
Lesson 17, “Circus March” (p. 133): bars 20 and 22 on beat 3: Trumpet has a high D that is not learned until Lesson 19.
Solution: Change the high written D to written A in both bars 220 and 22.
Lesson 21, “Funeral March” (p. 160): Clarinet line’s upper octave contains notes that have not yet been introduced (high F# and high B).
Solution: Remove the entire upper octave from the clarinet line.
Bassoon Solo piece, “Hip Hippo” (p. 186; also p. 39 & 41 of bassoon book): In the solo piece, the asterisk is over the wrong note (over the Ab rather than the Gb).
Solution: Move the asterisk over the Gb, not the Ab.
